Elk Point RCMP Arrest Three People On Drug Charges

Two men and one woman face a number of drug-related charges following a search by the Elk Point RCMP over the weekend. On February 17, at approximately 6:00 pm, the Mounties along with St. Paul Police Dog Services executed a search warrant at a rural residence, south of the Town of Elk Point. The investigation resulted in the seizure of a quantity of illegal drugs along with approximately $2000 of Canadian cash and various electronics. The 52-year-old woman and a 53-year-old man have been charged with numerous offences including three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, and a 43-year-old man has been charged with possession of a controlled substance. All the accused have been released from custody and scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court at a later date.
